Making mosaics has been a part of my life since I was in college.
Tile, adhesive, and grout were not always involved, but the act of
piecing materials
together to create art always was.
Because I was a Photography Major, my first successful "mosaics" were actually cut up negatives that I pieced together and printed to make new photographs. I now receive the same satisfaction of creating an original piece of art using colored glass, ceramic tile, and stones.
